Why does the shipping cost more than the item I purchased? - All of the major shippers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) charge for shipping by weight, charging a fixed price for each pound shipped, and the minimum shipping weight is 1 Lb. The first pound of shipping is always the most expensive, so by combining multiple items in the same order, the shipping cost per item is significantly reduced. Example: If you purchase an item for $2.99 that weighs 3 lbs. and it is being shipped to New York from California, the average shipping cost is $6.54. The same charge also applies to an item that costs $39.95 that also weighs 3 lbs., the charge is by the weight, not the value of the item.
I used the UPS website to find out the shipping cost on a single item. Will it cost me three times as much to ship if I buy three of the same items? - No. For example, if you were to ship an item weighing three pounds from California to New York, it would cost an average of $6.54 in shipping fees. However, if you ship three of that item, your order weighs nine pounds and it would cost approximately $8.67. In this scenario the shipping weight is tripled but the shipping cost only goes up $2.13.
Do you charge a handling fee? - No, not on most orders. The price you pay is the actual charge, per the shippers rate charts, to ship the package. The exception to this rule is the USPS shipping. There is a $2.50 handling fee for any package sent through the U.S. Postal Service due to the added handling and transportation of these orders.
How long will it be before you ship my order? - Most items ship the same day, or the next business day. If your order will be delayed for any reason, we will contact you via email, phone or FAX to notify you.
Do you ship to United States military personnel? - Yes. We ship to APO and FPO military addresses using the United States Postal Service. Items shipped are subject to USPS size and weight restrictions, and a $2.50 handling fee applies to these orders.
Do you ship to other countries? Yes. We ship to many different countries all over the world, on an order by order basis. Their are some countries that we cannot ship to due to complicated import restrictions, and some we will not ship to for other reasons. If you would like to place an international order please send us an e-mail at Customer Service with the items you wish to order and we will be able to send you an invoice with a shipping quote for easy payment.
Do you accept credit cards for international orders? No we do not. We will accept international money orders, personal or business checks drawn on United States banks, or PayPal with a Verified Address/Account Only.
